Wearing uniforms during Temple Gatherings is important because it helps create a unified, immersive atmosphere that reflects the sacred nature of our role-play environment. They also make it easier for visitors to identify Clergy members, ensuring that we maintain the professional and welcoming environment we strive for.
Additionally, wearing uniforms helps set the tone for role-play, allowing us to visually distinguish between IC and OOC interaction. By wearing our uniforms, we show respect for the space, the community, and the roles we fulfill.
Both modded AND vanilla glams must fit uniform requirements.
Our primary uniform is SFW, as the vast majority of our gatherings are SFW.
For this reason, we ask that your primary uniform be modest. But what do we mean by modesty?
Not genitals or nipples may be visible.
If it is possible to see beneath your characters clothes, they MUST be wearing underwear.
More skin should be covered than not.
No fetish wear or clothing that is specifically designed to be sexual.
Your style of dress must fit the overall theme of the Temple and your role within it.
The only exception is during NSFW gatherings. The gathering officiant will inform you of what is expected should you attend or assist with any NSFW gatherings.
Neophytes & Acolytes
The Neophyte and Acolyte uniform is identical, as being a Neophyte prepares new clergy for the role of an Acolyte.
If you are struggling with deciding on a uniform, your Mentor will help and may be able to assist with acquiring appropriate pieces. The Temple is also happy to provide you with Ice Blue Dye.
Dye: Ice Blue
You will select an outfit that is primarily cloth that is respectful of the Temple atmosphere.
You may not have visible weapons, including those built into attire.
Below are examples of acceptable Neophyte and Acolyte uniforms. You are absolutely welcome to choose clothing that best suits your characters personality and history.
Keywords: Modest. Formal. Respectful.
Below are examples of unacceptable attempts at uniform.
Avoid overly revealing clothing, casual outfits, armor, and things best left to memes. What you wear is not only a reflection of the Temple, but the level of respect you give your position here.
Ascended Clergy
For those who wish to progress beyond service as an Acolyte, your uniform will change and visually represent your rank within the Clergy.
Disciples
As you embark upon your journey into the Priesthood, the blues of your robes will deepen, symbolizing the growing depth of your devotion. Just as the surface of the ice is pale and clear, but darkens as one ventures deeper, so too does your attire reflect the profound commitment you make to Menphina’s path.
Dye: Sky Blue
All other features remain the same.
Hound Pups
When you choose to stand as a defender of the Temple, you set aside the ice-blue of Menphina and don the colors of the lesser moon, embracing the hue of her loyal companion. As a Pup, you will begin your role as a guardian, and are expected to dress in a way that reflects your readiness for any potential conflicts, prepared to protect the sanctuary with unwavering loyalty.
Dye: Blood Red
You may set aside cloth armor in favor of a cohesive set of armor that allow your character to function as their chosen combat class.
You may have an appropriate weapon for your combat class visible.
Priesthood
Upon joining the Priesthood, the color of your robes will deepen further, symbolizing the growing depth of your wisdom, knowledge, and closeness to our beloved Goddess. At this stage, you may also don the tools of a healer, offering your skills in service to the Temple and to all those who seek Menphina's grace.
Dye: Othard Blue
You may have healers weapons visible.
Hounds
After swearing your sacred oath to protect the Temple, the red of your armor deepens, embracing the full, rich hue of Dalamud, Menphina's loyal hound. This transformation marks your unwavering commitment to safeguarding the sanctuary and all who seek its shelter.
Dye: Dalamud Red
All else remains the same.
Temple Leaders
In general, Temple Leaders will dress as is expected of their primary rank and/or affiliation.
For instance, a Hound Captain will dress in the same style of the Hound. Where as a Chaplain will dress appropriately as an Acolyte, Priest, Pup, etc.
What sets our Leadership apart is their white dye - which represents the soft glow of Menphina's moon.
