As clergy, your main reason for being here should be to have fun and help us create an environment that is enjoyable for ourselves AND those who visit us.
It is important that you know our Temple Rules.
As clergy, you are held to a higher standard than our guests and Congregation. You are expected to follow all of our IC and OOC rules while participating in our Discord, spending time at the Temple, and participating in other Temple related gatherings.
The following expectations help us make sure that happens!
Under no circumstances may you cross OOC/IC lines without clearly expressed permission. If your character is flirting with another, you do not have permission to flirt ooc. If your character is intimate with another, you do not have permission to make sexually explicit comments or requests OOC. If your character is fighting with someone, do not assume that they are angry with you OOC.
If you are caught breaking IC/OOC boundaries without clearly expressed consent, especially in regards to sexual conversations or material, you may be banned from the Temple.
We have various gatherings throughout the month that count toward maintaining activity. You may also be asked to help with specific tasks to support the Temple, which will also count toward activity.
In general, we ask all active Clergy to assist with or host one gathering each month. If you’ve reached the rank of Hound or Priesthood and need to take an extended break, you can stay on as an inactive member. However, those who haven’t reached these ranks and go inactive for a long period will be removed from the Clergy.
If you know that you will be away for longer than 1 month, please inform Temple Leadership that you would like to take a Leave of Absence (LoA).
An LoA may be up to 3 months long. If you have not returned at the end of 3 months you will be removed due to inactivity.
If you are removed for inactivity, you are welcome to return to the Temple at a later time when you are able to commit to our activity expectations.
All services provided through the Temple are confidential. Do not gossip about services rendered, even in spaces that are Clergy only. Do not screenshot any portion of a session, especially anything NSFW, without all parties consent.
The only exception is if you feel unsafe or genuinely uncomfortable. In such cases, please take screenshots and contact Temple Leadership. We will not tolerate abuse of our clergy, but we are able to act more quickly if evidence is provided.
The safety and comfort of our clergy and guests is our top priority. If someone visiting the Temple crosses a boundary, ignores your "no," or makes you feel unsafe in any way, please remove yourself from the situation. Your first responsibility is to take care of yourself.
If you can, inform Temple Leadership as soon as possible. Remember, if we’re not made aware of a problem, we can’t address it. We strongly encourage you to reach out for help as soon as you feel safe.
If two or more Clergy members become romantically involved, either IC or OOC, the Temple will not take sides if there is a falling out. Any personal drama should remain between those involved and not affect the rest of the Temple. If it starts to spread, involves other members, or causes unnecessary conflict that affects the atmosphere, all parties involved may be removed.
If you have an ongoing conflict with another Clergy member, you can ask for help from Leadership. However, you are still expected to follow our rules and act with respect and maturity while participating in our Discord and any Temple-related activities.
We ask that you keep disruptive personal RP to a minimum during Temple gatherings. While we don't want to take away from your character’s story - bigger plot points, IC conflicts, or drama are best handled outside of our gatherings.
If you want to include a major personal storyline while the Temple is holding a gathering, please get approval from leadership first and wait for clear confirmation before proceeding.
If your personal RP becomes disruptive, you will be asked to discontinue it. If you persist, you may be removed from Clergy.
If you’re not having fun, why stay?
Seriously, if you ever find yourself dreading Temple events, take a moment to figure out why. If it’s something that can be resolved, reach out to fellow clergy or leadership for support. If it can’t be fixed, there’s no pressure to stay, and there won’t be any hard feelings if you decide to move on to something you enjoy more.
On the other hand, if you’re consistently ruining the fun for others who are following Temple rules, you may be asked to leave.
We are a heavily immersive RP environment, which comes with certain unspoken expectations that not everyone may be familiar with. These expectations can also vary depending on culture and community. Here are some of those unspoken rules we expect you to follow as a form of courtesy and respect.
The Temple is an immersive IC environment. Whether or not you have the RP tag on, it's expected that if you are within the Temple, you are IC. Please avoid OOC conversations in say chat in public areas.
No ERP or explicit RP is allowed in public areas outside of closed door NSFW events. Mature topics may come up, but remember that consent extends to observers.
Similarly, avoid non-sexual kink in public spaces, such as littlespace, bratting, pet play, etc.
Please do not RP topics in public spaces that are likely to be triggering, such as suicide, self-harm, or abuse.
Do not shame others for their RP style. If you don’t enjoy someone’s RP, simply don’t participate. Everyone is entitled to their own preferences, as long as they’re not forcing it on others. Outside of the above considerations, witnessing RP is not considered harmful.
We are not a spoiler-free venue. The Temple exists in the present time, fully caught up with the MSQ. After patches are released, please avoid bringing new MSQ content into RP for one week, or one month after a new expansion.
No one here is the Warrior of Light. We do not acknowledge any of our members or guests as the WoL.
We do not hire canon characters. If visitors play as canon characters, they’ll be treated like any other guest, but we won’t recognize them as part of the larger world lore.
Some lore bending is acceptable—we love creativity! However, we ask that you avoid extreme lore bending or god-like characters. This includes primals, ancients, realm-traveling voidsent, ascians, and similar characters.
